I’ve played guitar seriously for 33 years. I still love it like the first time I picked it up. I still consider myself a student and learn from everyone I work with. I grew up listening to
the “classics:” Zeppelin, Santana, Journey and more recently, Rachmaninoff and Chopin. My wife and kids all play and sing too. I’m finishing up an acoustic “CD” that showcases my instrumental music and two vocal tracks. I occasionally play guitar at church, and I’m putting together a band to do electric guitar-based rock instrumental music. I gig occasionally, doing Latin and instrumental.
I’m originally from San Jose and moved here in 2001. I have over 15 years teaching experience, and I’ve developed an approach to teaching that is both encouraging and fun for students of all ages. In a relaxed atmosphere, students will learn music notation and technique, as well as songs of their choice for both acoustic or electric guitar.
